Yay for taking an actual lunch break today!
Okay, so maybe not an actual break – I did eat my lunch sitting at my desk and I took calls the entire time, but it’s better than nothin! I enjoyed some sliced cucumber, celery and cherry tomatoes alongside some hummus. Unpictured – Stacy’s Pita Chips – I have no control when it comes to these! I could eat the whole bag if given the chance 
When I arrived home from work this afternoon, I was greeted by a little man overly excited to give me this

And now, Friday night and what do I need to do? Write a paper. In Italian.
Luckily, it is pouring down rain outside and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on too much. Gary is back from California (where he was conquering the book 1,000 Places to See Before You Die) and really wanted to spend some time with Mackenzie and Nick has been wanting to make an appearance down at the track for the whole season. Despite the pouring rain, the guys headed down to watch the track meet.
Mack especially liked using the stopwatch to time the races.
It worked out well because everyone got what they wanted/needed. Gary got to see Mack, Nick got to see his old coach, Mack had a blast and I got my paper done! Success!
My mom arrived at our house shortly before the guys got home and we got a quick second to chat about baby, life, etc.
The moment the guys walked through the door it was time to do the Hot Dog Dance. I’m telling ya Mack was so happy to have four grown ups happy to be doing the hot dog dance with him – paradise as far as he’s concerned.
We’ve got a fun weekend ahead of us…
