Yoga and Fall Breakfast Burrito

This morning I enjoyed a piece of my quiche and a cup of coffee while hanging out with Spencer a bit. He’s such a snuggly little bug  :)

Once Spencer had gone down for a nap, I did an hour long yoga program which I had recorded (thank you TV gods for our DVR being set up once more!) I recorded a yoga program dedicated to hip openers because those are typically my favorite poses. The program is put out by BYU and I have to say, it’s not great. I did the whole hour, but I doubt I’ll be doing that sequence (or any others offered by BYU) in the future. It wasn’t so much the content, but rather that the lady leading the session just was not giving any vocal cues for what to do next, I kept constantly having to look at the tv, pause it and figure out what the heck I had missed. – So much for “flow”

After yoga, I still felt the need to really get my heart pumpin so I completed the following:

  • 50 alternating high knees
  • 40 jumping jacks (first time since Spencer was born - other than in the pool)
  • This weight routine from SHAPE Magazine
  • Arms weights routine
  • 50 alternating high knees
  • 40 jumping jacks
  • Weight routine from SHAPE again
  • Cool down – basically walking laps around the kitchen and a repeated Savasana

Once I had done all that, I was ready for some additional fuel and haphazardly created what might be my most favorite breakfast on record.

On a skillet, I heated a tortilla, smeared one half with peanut butter, added in some canned (GASP!) pears (I used up all 2.5 pounds of fresh ones), sprinkled a little cinnamon and drizzled with honey.

This tasted so yummy and fall-ish. My only wish is that I’d had a Pumpkin Spice Latte to accompany it :) I ended up having a second one a couple hours later and I have a feeling this will be making a repeat appearance on the ol blog.

Lots to do today (as always!) – See you soon!

What are your favorite fall foods? Have you had your seasons first Pumpkin Spice Latte?

***I love pumkin everthing – pie, beer, lattes! Another fall favorite for me is MNF Crock Pot Chili :)

Hi Kim, What a cutie Spencer is! I’m glad he’s using his chair. Where did you put it? Do you have his room all set up in what was the guest room when I was there?

Hope you’re having a great day. Remember to watch for Nick’s present coming by FedEx on Wednesday and his card should be in the mail.

    Love you, Mom
