Game Over

We had a lot of fun at last night’s Jazz game. We started the evening out with dinner at My Thai which is a little hole in the wall on 300 West. The food was delicious and the prices are amazing. Four adults plus Mack, dinner was under $40 and we have a boatload of leftovers! We made sure Mack ate a decent meal because we had a feeling he’d be getting some treats at the game. You remember last time?

Check out Mack’s face when he saw how big the ice cream cone was. I love it!

These were our “make up” seats given to us by the Utah Jazz ticketing department – pretty dang good seats! The face value on the tix was $150 a seat. Geesh! Thanks Jazz! I’m going to say it again that even though they messed us up for Friday’s game – our tickets were waiting at will call for us but the people working couldn’t seem to find them – they really did a great job with their customer service team and making it up to us. I wasn’t expecting anything and was shocked that Nick even got a phone call apologizing for the will call incident. I was doubly shocked that they gave us new tickets, even better than the first set. Good customer service is everything to me and I am really impressed with how the ticketing folks handled this. Thanks again.

Mack ate almost an entire bag of cotton candy and was on such a sugar high up until half time. That kid on sugar reminds me of Hammy from Over the Hedge when the little squirrel drinks an energy drink and is moving so fast it is as if time has stopped around him. Mack was dancing to every song, high-fiving every sank shot and just a wiggly worm. A happy wiggly worm :)

In case you’re wondering where the heck Spencer is, Nick’s mom took Spencer back to our house after dinner. She’s not a big basketball fan and it made things much easier for us. Greatly appreciated!

The game was back and forth for the first three quarters and then really intense all throughout the last quarter. The Jazz were down just two points with less than two seconds to score. They received the ball at half court, went up for the shot and missed – but sank the rebound.

See? Tied up and headed to overtime. The crowd was going nuts. Then the refs made the ruling that the rebounded shot was after the clock had run out – further review showed that to be the case. Game over, better luck next time.

It would have been cool if we had won but honestly it was fun just to be there and to see a good game of basketball no matter who won. Terrible fan, I know.

Workout

This morning, I did the Bikini Body Workout from Fitness Magazine again. You guys, I really love this little routine. It’s a great addition to your typical workout, is fairly easy and takes hardly any time but it gets my blood pumpin and has lots of great stretching-while-strengthening moves. I highly recommend it. I also did my shoulders routine from Tuesday.

Breakfast

I was really craving a Vanilla Caramel Protein Frappe and so that’s what I put together for myself this morning. So tasty!

Now, I’m on the train into the city and have a busy day ahead of me. I’m hoping I get home at a decent time and enjoy the sunshine a bit!

Make sure you check back tonight – I have a fun recipe and giveaway coming your way :)
