School is now back in session and there are several of us that may be crying inside that summer is over. I am not one of those people. Certainly I love summer and the sunshine and the playing outdoors but I am really not a fan of the extreme heat and more than anything else, Fall is my favorite of all the seasons.
The start of school kicks off a new regime of waking up early, being far more structured and organized throughout the week, and being responsible in a way that flat out doesn’t exist during the summer. And as much as I’ve loved the fun of summer, I’m ready to settle in to a bit more of a routine and bust out some real work.
Fall is definitely in the air here in Utah – and not just because school has started, football practice is underway, and NFL is in preseason. No, no, fall is officially in the works – the temperatures have dropped at night and the days are taking longer to reach their high temps, the leaves have started ever so slightly to slip into their lovely fall wardrobes.
Why do I love fall so much?
Drives through the canyons – American Fork to Sundance, Guardsman Pass over Deer Valley to Brighton, all just to see the changing colors of the leaves.
Picnics under the falling leaves
Oktoberfest at Snowbird
And pumpkin everything! Namely, Pumpkin beer and pumpkin spice lattes
And don’t forget pumpkin butter!
