Nick manages a plant that produces construction products – he’s the big boss man up there. He goes to work super early in the morning and is usually home about the same time as me – work-aholic! Nick LOVES to cook, which is a big help to me. His specialties are all things breakfast food and anything Asian. He’s always up to something – finding new sauces, new cooking gear etc. He’s also the pizza chef in our household. Nick’s go-to workout is a good run. He ran track in high school and used to coach the boys sprinting team. He even holds a couple records at the high school still, although he did coach a kid that ended up beating one. Nick plays on lots of underdog sports teams – he’s got softball or football pretty much year round. He’s also a HUGE fan of football. He plays in probably 15 fantasy leagues and every Sunday during the season is “Christmas Morning” for him – he just can’t get enough.
Mackenzie: Our four year old – going on 35!
Seriously though, this kid is precocious! He has created an entire imaginary life for himself, complete with a job, which he rides the commuter train to, a house and everything in between. He is always telling stories about something that happened at his work or something he forgot to bring home from his work. He’s a real crack up. Mackenzie loves trains and will literally stop everything to point out that a train is around. Mack goes to full-day preschool, where they call him “Big Mack.” When he first started going to school, there was another Mackenzie in his class and so they immediately gave him a nickname to distinguish him from the other one. Ironically, our Mackenzie was about 6 inches shorter than the other – not sure how he got the “Big” but I love it. When I pick him up from school, the other kids call me “Big Mack’s Mom.”
Spencer Jackson: Our newest little bundle! He’s a happy little dude
And we have a little dog, Muffin. We adopted her and she came with the name, but we’ve come to love calling her our little muffin dog.
